SEATTLE TRIAL ATTORNEY ASSISTS WITH ACCIDENT INJURY MATTERS IN WASHINGTON
A serious personal injury can drastically affect your health, your job, your family and your future. If you have suffered an injury because of somebody else’s negligence, you need an experienced and responsive personal injury attorney working to ease your burden. While you concentrate on getting well, a Seattle personal injury lawyer could diligently pursue the compensation you need to get your life back on track.
ESTABLISHED
I have built a strong reputation throughout the King County legal community for my work and commitment to make a positive difference for the people my firm represents. In 2011, I was one of only 54 lawyers nationwide accepted into the prestigious Gerry Spence Trial Lawyers College. That experience has been a great influence on my ability to win difficult cases.
TRUSTWORTHY
Clients can rely on my advice and advocacy because I know the court system and the factors that are most important in civil and criminal litigation. Having worked in the legal department of an insurance company, I am able to anticipate the tactics used by insurers against auto accident victims. And from my work as a public defender, I have gained extensive courtroom experience so I am always willing to take a case to trial when that is in my client’s best interests.
CARING
As an American whose father was born in a Colorado internment camp during World War II, I have always been aware of the human consequences that result from legal decisions. My firm is committed to seeking justice for every client through caring counsel and responsive service.
Play
Starting with a free initial consultation, my firm is here for you at any time of the day or night. In accident and other injury matters, you do not pay attorneys’ fees unless and until you collect a financial recovery.
About Melissa Odama Hart
I grew up knowing I wanted to be an attorney. During WWII, my dad was born in an internment camp in Colorado and the injustice of this has resonated throughout my life and has made me distinctly aware of when others are mistreated.
I went to school at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, but graduated cum laude from Seattle Pacific University in 2000. I was accepted into Seattle University School of Law and graduated in 2003.
Since passing the bar in 2003, I worked as a public defender at the Associated Counsel for the Accused for approximately eight years representing indigent clients in King County in Seattle Municipal Court, Juvenile Court, and Superior Court. I loved being in the courtroom and did as many jury trials as I possibly could.
In wanting to be the most well-rounded attorney I could, I also worked as in-house counsel for a large insurance company and learned the defense side of personal injury law. I learned how to process and evaluate claims and how to litigate cases from the insurance defense perspective.
