Mr. Pennebaker graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point , N.Y. in 1987. He grew up in rural Mississippi as the son of a cotton farmer. After serving as a Field Artillery Officer in the U.S. Army, he settled in San Antonio, where he attended St. Mary’s Law School. He has worked as an attorney in the field of insurance since 1993. He was previously a partner/shareholder in the insurance defense firms of Adami, Goldman & Shufflield and then Goldman, Pennebaker, and Phipps, where he gained valuable insight into the manner in which insurance companies handle claims. He has handled literally thousands of Bad Faith Insurance lawsuits during the past 20 years, and has gained valuable insight which is necessary to defeat insurance companies’ strategies for denying and/or underpaying valid insurance claims by homeowners and small business owners. He has received an AV Peer Reer Review rating from Martindale-Hubbell which is based on confidential opinions of other attorneys and members of the Judiciary. An AV rating is the highest rating possible in terms of assessing legal ability and ethical standards.

Eric Quiroz

Born in Victoria, Texas, Eric Quiroz grew up in Corpus Christi, Texas. Mr. Quiroz graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor’s in English and continued his education at St. Mary’s University School of Law. During law school, he was involved in numerous organizations and was a staff writer for The Scholar: St. Mary’s Law Review on Race and Social Issues. Mr. Quiroz’s career is dedicated to helping policyholders obtain the benefit of their bargain under their insurance policy. While the majority of his practice involves helping homeowners, Mr. Quiroz is also fortunate to have had the opportunity to help churches, daycare centers, a meat-packing plant, warehouses, restaurants and commercial properties. From depositions and discovery, to motion practice and mediations, he has extensive experience as a trial attorney. Additionally, Mr. Quiroz is involved in many organizations that are focused on helping others such as the San Antonio Trial Lawyers Association, Texas Trial Lawyers Association, STMU Hispanic Law Alumni Association and Phi Delta Phi, the International Legal Honors Society. As a music fanatic, Mr. Quiroz also enjoys working with organizations such as Texas Accountants and Lawyers for the Arts and the Texas Music Coalition. In his spare time, he enjoys exercising, surfing, and traveling, spending time with his girlfriend and their dog, and watching all types of sports.

Melvina Medley Turner

Melvina grew up in New Braunfels and has lived in the San Antonio area all her adult life. She is a paralegal with over 35 years’ experience in the legal profession. Melvina received her Paralegal Certificate from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1992. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, Paralegal Division, and has been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 1995. She has worked hand in hand with attorney Doug Pennebaker over 20 years and has jointly handled thousands of Bad Faith Insurance lawsuits. In her career as a Board Certified Paralegal, Melvina has also worked on thousands of homeowner property damage claims involving bad faith insurance, both on the defense and plaintiff side. She has extensive experience working Deceptive Trade Practice Act Litigation cases, as well as serious personal injury cases, trucking litigation cases, commercial property claims, and real estate / realtor claims. Melvina has participated in many Jury Trials to conclusion. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, cum laude, from University of the Incarnate Word and also earned her Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Business Management, summa cum laude, in 2016.
Linda Carranza

Grew up in San Antonio and is a graduate of Harlandale high school. She obtained her associates degree in accounting at San Antonio college. Linda is also a pastor at El Altar christian. Her primary focus at Pennebaker law firm is handling litigation matter, to assist the team for the benefit of the firm’s clients. In her spare time Linda enjoys spending time with her husband Ben, and with her grand children ranging in ages of 1 years old to 21 years old.
